We are now seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Full Stack Developer to join our IT Department.

Mission / Core Purpose of the Job

Shape and implement technology and business solutions that drive MTN’s competitive edge.
Develop scalable software through clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Use Agile practices and modern technologies to deliver creative, efficient solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement user stories and continuously deliver new product features.
Resolve technical dependencies and support smooth implementation processes.

Key Performance Areas

Participate in all phases of agile software development — from design to deployment.
Architect and guide the development of scalable end-to-end systems.
Conduct performance testing and implement meaningful test cases.
Work with technologies such as Ruby, Java/JRuby, React, JavaScript, and Kotlin.
Collaborate with designers, front-end, and back-end engineers to build reliable APIs.
Document solutions using UML (Unified Modeling Language).
Operate within a continuous delivery environment with production-ready code.
Recommend and adopt emerging technologies and methodologies.
Troubleshoot and suggest solutions to technical challenges.
Work closely with IT teams to develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications across all tiers.

Experience & Skills Required

Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Proficiency in code refactoring, pair programming, continuous integration, and deployment.
Familiarity with design patterns, test-driven development, and testing frameworks (RSpec, JUnit, Selenium).
Strong understanding of server-side technologies (Node.js, Go, Ruby on Rails, Java, PHP, .NET, Kotlin) and client-side frameworks (JavaScript, AngularJS, ReactJS).
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, SSO/OAuth, LDAP, and search technologies.
Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices is an added advantage.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Education Background

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
Professional certification is an added advantage.
Passion for learning new tools, languages, and methodologies.
