Aquasante Rwanda Ltd is a for-profit company based in Rusizi-Kamembe. We operate a tilapia fish farm in Lake Kivu. |

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Fish Health Practitioner to oversee the overall health and welfare of fish through monitoring disease treatments and biosecurity |
|
|
Key Responsibilities • Conduct routine health inspections and monitor fish stocks for signs of disease, stress, or abnormal behavior • Collect and analyze samples to identify health risks • Diagnose fish diseases and recommend appropriate treatment protocols • Implement and enforce biosecurity measures to minimize disease outbreaks • Maintain accurate records of treatments, mortalities and health interventions • Prescribe and administer fish medications in compliance with veterinary and regulatory standards • Ensure compliance with environmental and aquaculture health regulations |

Qualifications and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture, Veterinary Medicine, Fisheries Science or a related field (Master’s preferred) • Minimum +3 years of practical experience in aquaculture health management • Practical experience in aquaculture health management and disease diagnostics • Specialized training in fish pathology and aquatic animal health or biosecurity • Ability to train and mentor farm staff |

Skills • Ability to conduct health inspections, interpret laboratory results and recommend effective treatments • Strong knowledge of fish aquatic diseases and water quality management • Good analytical, problem-solving and research skills • Driving license is an added value |
