As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy INWARD HANDLER to assist in managing inventory and warehouse operations at our Kabuye site.

Position Summary:

The Inward Handler is responsible for receiving, checking, and recording all incoming goods to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper storage. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by verifying deliveries, updating inventory systems, and maintaining a safe and organized stores.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload incoming materials, supplies, and equipment from suppliers or transporters.
• Verify received items against purchase orders, delivery notes, and Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
• Inspect materials for quality, quantity, and condition, and report any discrepancies or damages immediately to Store Manager.
• Ensure accurate entry of all inward materials into the GRN register/logbook and inventory system.
• Label and tag all received materials with identification details before storage.
• Coordinate with the Purchase and User Departments for material verification and acceptance.
• Maintain proper documentation of inward goods, including supplier invoices, GRNs, and inspection reports.
• Segregate, organize, and transfer materials to designated storage locations in coordination with the Store Officer.
• Follow proper handling and safety procedures during unloading and storage operations.
• Support periodic stock verification and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the receiving area.
• Comply with all safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in Stores Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in material handling or store operations, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setup.
• Familiarity with the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) process and store documentation practices.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control and material identification.
• Ability to operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, trolley, etc.).
• Good physical condition to handle lifting and movement of materials safely.
• Inventory Software skills (Tally/ERP) and familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Honest, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
