Job Summary

 

Integration Lead is a newly created role in Bank of Kigali under the Transformation Program. This is an opportunity for a highly capable and experienced leader to help elevate and transform our capacity for integrating various banking systems such as T24, ERP and other banking application. The Lead will be given the opportunity to lead us through implementation of Service Oriented Architecture integration that enables various applications to communicate to each other.

 

This position offers the right candidate a visible role in a long-established and highly respected Bank in Rwanda. The lead will participate in assessing the existing universal banking to implement and map the business requirement to the model bank. Though it is a highly technical role, it is one that requires the candidate to demonstrate the ability to partner with the business and IT leadership to understand the organization’s business requirements and to build and execute a roadmap to fulfill the same also requires significant interaction with business, technical stakeholders and external partners

 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

The key roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

Provide design and delivery of integration solutions to enable plug and play of Banks platforms as well as third-party eco systems.
In partnership with peers in other bank teams, help the buildout of an Integration practice to help deliver legacy modernization and cloud enablement; and evolve our systems of records, systems of integration and Web platforms
Exercise experience and influence to make well informed build vs buy and integration decisions in our rapidly growing and evolving environment and lead delivery of the solutions.
Collaborate and develop relationships with delivery teams and other Enterprise technology teams by partnering, sharing and leveraging best practices and solutions
Mentor and guide peers and junior talent to help create a pool of technically strong subject matter experts
Initiate and administers the control parameters, process flows of the Enterprise Service Bus for new integration.
Evaluate technologies, drive consensus, create proof-of-concept and frameworks Architect, Design & Develop Security & integration components for data extraction, & internal /external application integration.
Collaborate with Security, Development, Infrastructure & Service delivery team to develop secured frameworks components and applications.
Design and enhance highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems to meet increasing levels of reliability, availability, scalability.
Develop architecture that meets security guidelines and security standards of integration
Prepare architecture, design and build documentations of the systems Test, new changes or new products/enhancements in business applications.

 

Experience

 

5 – 7 years of experience working in IT, System Integrator(s) or technology teams of banking/financial institutions.
2 – 3 years of experience in leading the development and/or integration in large-scale digital transformation and digital process automation programs.
2 – 3 years of experience in development and design of technology products on digital platforms (i.e. Digital Process Orchestration, Business Process Management and/or cloud-based APIs)
Demonstrate solid architectural knowledge with cloud-based technology stacks, including but not limited to AWS and Azure technology stacks.
Must possess an engineering mind-set and must have experience designing and delivering solutions based on SOA, APIs, Microservices, ESB and other iPaas products with proven experience in legacy integration techniques
System integration with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and BPM will be added advantage.
Experience in Core Banking System Integration and Interfaces such as T24 Integration Framework, Amplitude Integration (AIX), etc…
Web Services interaction and development for the data access from the data platform is required
Message based application development using JMS, MQ Series/Rabbit MQ.
Web services standards and related technology knowledge (WSDL SOAP, Rest, XML, XSD, etc.)
Ability to quickly learn new technologies, think logically and solve problems independently.
Development experience in a Cross-platform, multi-tier environment
Ability to think analytically and logically; and work independently or as part of a team
Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical business personnel.
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure;
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree or Master (MBA/MS) degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, mathematics or business.

 

Knowledge

 

Knowledge in using Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) to manage interfaces such as Fiorano, Mule, Oracle Entitlement Server, IBM Integration Bus (IIB), etc…
Knowledge of development languages and Scripting such as Java, Ruby, Node.Js, XSLT, JavaScript, etc. Skills of modern development frameworks will be an advantage.
Knowledge in Administration of application server Websphere, Peer Servers, and MQ Series
