Spiritual Integration Associate
Urwego Bank Plc is dedicated to provide financial services to the people of Rwanda. Motivated by Jesus Christ’s call to serve those in need. Urwego Bank wishes to recruit 1 qualified, competent and proactive Spiritual Integration Associate at the Head Office who will Promote and fulfill the mission of Urwego Bank.

JOB SUMMARY.
Implement the overall SI strategy and plan to ensure the spiritual transformational development of the organization including discipleship, spiritual, social and economic outcome projects for the benefit of clients, staff, and other UB stakeholders through related education and training programs in business, health and financial literacy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and fulfill Urwego Bank’s 3Ms as listed above while working within a Christ-centered environment that is mission-driven, community-oriented and results-driven.
Spiritual Integration and Christian Witness
Promote and fulfill the mission of Urwego Bank.
Ensure a personal, healthy spiritual balance within the family, work, and church life through the adoption of biblical personal and spiritual disciplines;
Actively model and engage in discipleship with staff, nurture a culture of discipleship, and implement discipleship strategies for staff that strengthen their relationship with Christ.
Support leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources in the SI department.
Strategy
Work with CRO and UB executive team to establish a strategy for effectively implementing matrixes that will help achieve spiritual integration and transformation objectives across the Urwego network.
Understand and promote SI related staff and client education and training programs in business, health, financial literacy and other areas as the need arises while developing an effective way to equip front line staff with the necessary tools to enhance client spiritual integration and transformation impact.
Track the implementation of SI initiatives in all departments and units to ensure consistent follow through.
Continuously coordinate with the HI SI team to improve and broaden the delivery mechanisms of spiritual integration trainings and education
Serve as the liaison person in the integration of the SI framework into business rhythms.
Work with the SLD manager to assist in the planning of retreats
Staffing and Culture
Work with all units to integrate Spiritual bible – based values in the day to day work activities as embedded in PASSION including PASSION Nominations follow up and monitoring throughout the organization.
Serve as Branch sponsorship point person. (Follow up and provide periodic reports on branch sponsorship initiative)
Effectively establish a culture of extraordinary service, starting with personal example through serving direct reports and radiating outwards to branches and clients.
Set precedent through a personal example for healthy discipleship of Christian character among the staff of the service delivery team.
Work with division leaders to ensure outstanding sales officers are celebrated every quarter (staff of the month initiative)
Promote a spirit of ownership and belonging – family rather than a workplace environment
Policy and Procedure Management
Facilitate in maintaining up to date policy and procedure manuals for the critical processes associated with Spiritual Integration and Transformational impact.
Work with the business department to ensure the effective and timely integration of SI-related policies and procedures are mains
treamed in the running of core businesses
Product Design
Pro-actively engage the product design team to ensure that products and services are in line with and adhere to the mission of Urwego Bank and represent Shareholder’s aspiration why Urwego Bank exists.
Support business team leaders in equipping the business team in effective “how we work” strategies and effective use of tools used to proclaim the gospel in client interactions
Stakeholder and Partner Relationships
Serve as a key liaison person for all our external stakeholders in relation to insight trips and field visits.
Support the CRO to prepare periodic Spiritual Integration plans, budget, and performance and progress reports and participate fully in the management meetings and in the strategic planning processes.
Serve as the liaison person in the integration of the SI framework into business rhythms.
Assist the head of SI to complete the required period report
Assist with other SI-related tasks as assigned by the CRO to accomplish the mission of the institution.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ability to clearly articulate and apply a conceptual understanding of holistic development to microfinance programs
An adequate understanding of Microfinance (providing, promoting and partnering) and other pro-poor programs
University-level degree in Development Studies, finance, Social Sciences, Economics, Theology or a similar field
Minimum of two-year experience implementing Christian- based development projects that have a community focus.
In-depth knowledge of church-oriented programs and duties and adult education and learning
Excellent international cultural awareness and sensitivity with the ability to foresee and sense needs of clients, field staff, as well as needs of Western visitors while traveling in Rwanda.
Ability to work with minimum supervision, and to deal with problems/issues promptly and efficiently
Excellent written and spoken Kinyarwanda and English. Knowledge of French is added advantage
