JOB DETAILS:
Association MwanaUkundwa (AMU) wishes to recruit a Market Specialist.
The Market Specialist Responsibilities:
- Identify potential local markets and link them with the small-scale farmer groups produce based on the value chains.
- Be the focal point between project buyers and small-scale farmer groups regarding agreements,
- Identifying local market challenges and opportunities which s/he will consequently use to come up with solutions to address the food insecurity in the two targeted districts through market linkages.
- Create campaigns: Develop and manage advertising campaigns, pricing strategies, and promotional materials
- Analyze data: Collect and analyze marketing research data to understand customer behavior and market trends
Minimum required qualifications:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, agri-business, communications, business administration, or a related field
- A major in marketing, which covers topics like market research, consumer behavior, and advertising
Skills
- Strong communication skills: Be able to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively
- Market research: Understand customer behavior and market trends
- Creative vision: Be able to create effective marketing strategies
- Knowledge of digital marketing.
- Be creative, analytical, and adaptable.
Experience and other required qualities:
- The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience working with communities in marketing
- He/she must have high level of language proficiency in English; able to make oral presentations and write clear reports in English.
- He/she must be self-motivated, persistent, resolute and able to deliver without close supervision.
- Must be a good communicator, capable of effectively sharing knowledge and skills gained with others.
- Willingness to travel throughout program-covered zones and work flexible hours.
- Computer literacy to a high standard in Microsoft Office
- Flexibility, humility, resourcefulness.
