PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare bid documents for Purchase Requests
- Send out Request for Quotation to Supplier
- Carry out bid analysis
- Update stakeholders on sourcing timelines
- Monitor Procurement KPIs and update through periodic reports.
- Coordinate with Stores teams to monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
- Research potential vendors
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts)
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
- Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
- Prepare cost analyses
- Maintain updated records of contracts, catalogues
- Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
- Liaise with store staff and users to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Qualifications and Experience Required;
- Higher National Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management
- CIPS Certification will be an added advantage
- 3- 5 years working experience
- Desirable: Supply planning, Data Analysis and Analytical Skills.
